Our expertise in the Fish industry is second to none
With over 35 years’ experience Matrix understands that no two food processors are alike. Every plant has their own processes and needs. Our innovative software solutions provide optimal factory-wide integration. Real time tracking throughout your plant, from receiving fish all the way through shipping the highest quality product to retailers and food service companies.
Our flagship software, Data Navigator delivers exceptional value for the fish industry. The senior production management teams of our Fish processing customers lean on the real-time data and information delivered by our solutions to make informed decisions for their organizations. Integration of the data we collect to payment systems and other ERP functions delivers even more value.
Product Receiving & Tracking
Data Navigator begins tracking product the moment it arrives at your facility – or even before!
Our product receiving and tracking module can be integrated to your purchasing system so it knows what will be delivered before it is delivered. When product arrives, the system will track what is being delivered against what was ordered and alert the receiver of any discrepancies.
Product Manufacturing
Tracking your fish onto the cut floor, tracking your yields and making sure you cut the right product to meet your sales order requirements is of paramount importance to your business. Our product tracking module will make sure the right raw materials are released to the cut floor and yields are acceptable. It also provides product tracking and traceability.
Packaging, Warehousing & Shipping
Data Navigator’s product labeling modules help you pack and label pieces, cases and pallets of finished goods inventory accurately and with industry standard barcodes. Continue product tracking and traceability into your warehouse storage locations with our warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure shipping accuracy with our shipping module.
Data Reporting, Dashboarding & Integration
Data from your manufacturing processes will be replicated to the central database in real-time. Data is translated into meaningful information and is available in reports, Navi-DASH dashboards or through real-time exception alerting. Data can also be shared with ERP and third-party data systems to provide even more value to your ERP organization.

We first engaged Matrix in 1998 to help us build a new facility in Council Bluffs, IA. We had tight schedules and high expectations for the building of our state of the art Deli Meats & Bacon Processing Plant.
The Matrix Team met our deadlines and exceeded our expectations. They delivered a complete Data Collection, Tracking and Traceability Solution, which sixteen years later continues to deliver real time information on yields, throughput, give away, inventory levels and QA/QC reporting.
Over the years, we have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship. Matrix continues to support our efforts across all of our facilities and their support team is always available and ready to help 24 X 7.
We are delighted to be able to recommend the Matrix Team, without reservation.

I would like to transfer you my opinion and the feedback that I got from my team regarding Scott’s visit. Everything was great! We all learned a lot of things and for some of my team members this was an eye opening experience. Scott did a great job explaining to everybody step by step how the whole system works and what can go wrong during those steps. He also set up a system so we can update the spare units every night which is going to make our life way easier. Carrie helped us a lot with all the programming that had to be done. Overall the visit exceeded my expectations. Everybody feels way more confident to deal with the system now.
I would like thank everyone at Matrix that made this happen and most of all how Scott had to put up with me for 3 days!

Just wanted to let you know how disappointed I am! These touch screen computers survived 7 years on the production floor… how are you going to make money selling upgrades if your equipment doesn’t break down?

We recently employed Matrix to deliver two automatic labeling systems. The Matrix team installed the system in the specified time frame as promised and thoroughly trained our staff. The system has significantly reduced our give-away, increased our throughput and has helped us reduce our production hours giving us significant cost savings. The system paid for itself in six months! They are now our trusted partner throughout the plant for our shop-floor data collection systems!

I have been a customer of yours for over 20 years at different stops along the road and Matrix continues to get better with time. Steve, Scott, Ankesh, Frank and especially Carrie have all been just fantastic and patient. You have a first rate team and it is always a pleasure to work with you. We are excited to finish this job to be more proactive in running our business because of Matrix, and to get on to the other projects we have slated with you in the coming year.
